Candida Symptoms and Cure
Nobody
had heard of a Candida infection before the 1940’s. The
introduction of antibiotics around that time, made it as widespread
as it is today. Antibiotics kill the usual biota in the gut and
because healthy guts have Candida in them and since nature despises a
vacuum, Candida will proliferate.
Candida,
an infection by Candida Albican is a yeast infection. – Albicans is
a type of yeast. Although pathogenic strains of Candida have
identical characteristics with food yeasts, food yeasts don’t have
the same pathogenicity and ability to strongly affect and penetrate
mucous membranes. Candidiasis, or yeast Candida, and especially
intestinal Candida dissemination, has been currently seen as a
syndrome that can victimize those who have a "normal"
immune system. This subject has been very controversial and has
spawned debates and lacks comprehension but eventually has encouraged
new dimensions and research initiatives.
- * Candida is a major
contributor in creating what is known as "leaky gut," an
adverse increase in intestinal penetration.
- * Candida infection
has been found to produce 79 distinct toxins.
- * Rapid growth of
Candida causes an allergic response from the body which sabotages the
resources of the body's immune system.
- * Diarrhea,
occasionally associated with abdominal cramps, could be incited by
Candida.
- * Psoriasis and
seborrhea dermatitis has been on the record in regards with Candida.
Some of the symptoms of
Candida can be following:
* Extreme lethargy

gas, bloating, abdominal cramps alleviated by bowel movements,
Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Hyperactivity, Attention Deficit Disorder

allergy symptoms, chemical sensitivities

The first thing you
might want to do is to cleanse to reduce the level of Candida to that
of a normal gut. This is done using fungicides. There are various
natural fungicides such as shark liver oil that can be used in a
maintenance fashion once Candida levels are low enough. There are
natural herbal products in the form of capsules which aids in
maintaining balanced intestinal micro flora. Other medicines contain
milled leaves of Horopito, herb from New Zealand with a long history
of beneficial use.
They say the best cure is
the best food. You can use the following guidelines for curing
Candida by food intake.
* Minimize sugar and
carbohydrates in your diet, especially sugar as yeasts prefer them as
a place to live.
* Take Pro-biotics
containing such bacteria as Lactobacilli, Bifid bacterium. These
bacteria don't just horde out Candida yeast, but they also spawn
factors such as lactic acid (from lactose), formic acid, acetic acid,
and hydrogen peroxide that helps provide an environment and pH
repellant to yeasts.
* Avoid where
possible oral antibiotics, antacids and steroids
Herbs are a wonderful
tool in the natural prevention against Candida. The main element
active in Horopito is polygodial, which has proven powerful results
in the laboratory. Independent vitro studies have shown that Horopito
might be more useful than Pau d’Arco or Olive Leaf Extract in
enhancing your natural defenses. If problem still persists it is
probably better to get a prognosis from your doctor for an antifungal
cure. Most of the prescribed remedies will prove to be safe with
little or no side effects. You will of course have to talk to your
doctor into the need for such a prescription.
