TRANSMISSION OF CANDIDA

Intercourse with a person that carries the infection may result in the transmission of Candida. If you ignore adequate precautions during intercourse, it may result in the transmission of infection. Douches may also lead to the development of Candida. They wash away normal bacteria and healthy secretions of the vagina. These secretions dry the surface around vagina.

Men too are vulnerable to Candida infection. The infection may be transmitted during unprotected sex. The lubricants used during intercourse may contribute to the development of Candida. Diabetes increases the risk of infection in men. Prolonged use of antibiotics by diabetics can make them susceptible to this infection.
